DAILY HOMEWORK (Every Night)
- Every night students are expected to read for a minimum of 30 minutes.
- Students should practice their math facts nightly for approximately 15 minutes using flash cards, computer program, or another method of their choosing.
- Students should also bring their Assignment Notebook home. Please be sure to review it with your child and sign it to be brought back the next day.

MATH TOPIC (Wk of 10/10)
- In math we have just finished our Division unit and will begin working on Volume. Students will take a pretest to demonstrate their current knowledge of area & volume on Tuesday Oct. 11th. Students that have not mastered multiplication & division concepts, will be given future opportunities to retake the tests to show growth in demonstrating their ability to multiply & divide multi-digit numbers.

- We continue to learn about our routines and procedures for the new Writing Curriculum (Schoolwide) this year along with Words Their Way. Our current reading strategy focus is Comparing & Contrasting characters and settings in a story. We will begin learning about drawing conclusions this week.
